Precalculus Resources

Here is where I will host my precalculus resources.

“Demonstration of Mastery Form” – This is how students can gain points back on their assessments. I allow them to demonstrate mastery in many different ways (This is the list I give my students, although I’m open to other ways.). My goal is that students can show me they’ve mastered a concept in way other than a traditional assessment and after the assessment has been given. I don’t care if they’ve learned it by quiz day, as long as they’ve learned it. (PDF Version)

“Explanation of Demonstration of Mastery” – I post this in my room. It gives more explanation of how to properly fill out the form. (PDF Version)

  1. Wow, I love this. I especially appreciate how it requires the student to take responsibility for his/her own learning. I’ll definitely be stealing this!

    • Let me know how it works for you. I had really good luck with it and will probably use it again next year. I also liked it because it was enough work that students didn’t just blow off the assessment and in order to complete the mastery. Also, I was kind of a stickler and had no problem asking a student to go further if they didn’t convince me of mastery.
